Woo, heating up a bit in here. I'm actually really enjoying this series. We're getting to the heart of the matter now with Shirotani's germophobia (if you can even call it that at this point).

2018 Reading: Poisoned Apples

2018 Reading: The Color of Magic
#17 A book set on a different planet
I've already mentioned that Fantasy is not really my cup of tea when it comes to books, but I have to admit, this one struck me as something that I might be able to continue on with because it reminds me heavily of things like Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Utterly confusing but also very intriguing.
I will admit that Terry Pratchett has the type of sense of humor that I like, usually very dry and indirect. The characters, at least some of them, are hilarious (especially Death) and even though I can get very confused sometimes, I like the way he describes things. He uses familiar things to base descriptions on rather than trying to describe strictly by sight which, I admit, just makes my brain hurt.

And of course "at sea" simply means "on a body of water" because GoodReads said I could. So there.
I think I'm going to start supplementing more Poirot books into my reading lists. They are actually attention grabbing and easy to read. That would also mean that I would have to finish up the Roderick Alleyn series by Ngaio Marsh as well, which I totally do not mind at all.
I should have guessed the outcome of this book right away, but I must admit that I was completely surprised by "who done it."

2018 Reading: Ten Count Vol. 2
It took FOREVER for our library to finally get the second volume of this, but you better believe as soon as I put it into the system (that's what I do, BTW, I'm in charge of graphic novels) I checked it out to myself before anyone else could get their hands on it. UNF! Need more!

2018 Reading: Twelfth Night
#20 A book with characters who are twins
Another Shakespeare play that I have seen many times and know the plot, but never actually read it.
I think the Fool is my favorite character for many reasons. He seems to be the one sane one in the bunch at times and knows exactly what to say to make the situation right, but at the same time, excuses himself from all responsibility by acting the ignorant drunkard. Therefore, no one expects anything of him but to sing occasionally.
It's a great story.
